- Twitter summary: “We meditate to get good at life, not to get good at meditation.”
- The good: Emily consciously introduces the three Ms – mindfulness, meditation and manifesting – throughout the book by blending science, real life examples and practical tools.
- The bad: It is hard to successfully learn how to meditate by reading a book so I highly recommend checking out Emily’s complete meditation practice, Ziva Online.
- Favourite aspect of the book: The step-by-step instructions that were easy to understand and apply to my life. Perfect for beginners! I have never consistently performed a meditation practice before reading this book. I did the Z technique for approximately a month before registering for Ziva Online.
- Recommendation: Yes and please check out Ziva Online for more information.
- Overall rating: 5/5 less stressful days

House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas
- Twitter summary: Bound by blood. Tempted by desire. Unleashed by destiny.
- Twitter summary 2 (because I couldn’t stop myself): Through love, all is possible.
- The good: I don’t know where to begin: the characters, this world, the details, Sarah J. Maas, Bryce, Hunt, Danika, Ruhn, the heart-pounding romance, the forever friendships, kick-ass angels, wings (a nod to Throne of Glass and A Court of Roses and Thorns series), precious pets, have I mentioned Sarah J. Maas? To be honest with you, I am going to have to re-read this book a little more slowly as I was beyond excited and mach-speed read it the first time.
- The bad: Can I say there were too many details for my poor and overly excited mind to read, understand, analyze and remember?
- Favourite aspect of the book: I’ll get back to you but my initial reaction is all of the intricate details that unfolded throughout the book and what will be unfolded throughout the series. OR it might be the cover and artistic design of the book. It is a work of art.
- Favourite character: Bryce. Hunt. Bryce. Hunt. It could be both, I guess.
- Recommendation: Yes yes yes and I would read this again and again
- Overall rating: 5/5 party girls

Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston
- Twitter summary: What happens when America’s First Son falls in love with the Prince of Wales?
- The good: I felt all the emotions when reading this book and to me, that’s a sign that the author has curated a well-balanced and thoughtful story
- The bad: Predictable plot line but I didn’t even think about how I already know the ending because I was too engrossed in the characters and their lives. I didn’t want it to end – sequel, please!
- Favourite aspect of the book: the honest and vulnerable e-mail exchanges between Alex and Henry
- Favourite character: Henry, of course – who wouldn’t want to fall in love with a prince?
- Recommendation: Yes and I would read this again
- Overall rating: 5/5 royal affairs
